Directions to the Ganaraska Snowmobile Club

The Ganaraska Snowmobile Club(GSC) is located in Southern Ontario between highways 35/115 in Orono and highway 28 in Bewdley. Only an hours drive from Toronto, 30 minutes from Peterborough, Lindsey, or Port Hope. There are a number of access points to the trail and a number of places to park your truck and trailer. The directions below will take you to the Ganaraska Forest Center where there's lot's of room to park your rig and the E108 East trail passes right through the Forest Center.

Travelling East from Toronto
(about 1 hour from east end)

  • Travel east on 401 past Bowmanville
  • Exit at Highway 35/115 North
  • Travel approximately 16 km north to Kirby
  • Turn right (east) at Kirby onto Ganaraska Road 9
  • Travel approximately 10 km to the first "S" bend in the road
    (Ganaraska Forest Centre sign on the south side )
  • Turn left (north) onto Cold Springs Camp Road
  • Proceed 4 km to the Forest Centre


Travelling South from points Northeast
(about 30 minutes from Peterborough)

  • Travel to Peterborough
  • Take County Road 28 south
  • Travel approximately 30 km south to Northumberland Road 9 (Ganaraska Road) - just south of Bewdley
  • Turn west (right) on Northumberland Road 9
  • Travel approximately 16 km (past Elizabethville) until you see the Region of Durham sign/Ganaraska Forest Centre sign is located on the south side of road
  • Turn north (right) onto Cold Springs Camp Road and proceed 4 km to the Forest Centre


Travelling West from points East
(about 25 minutes from Port Hope)

  • Travel west on Highway 401 to Port Hope
  • Exit on County Road 28 north
  • Proceed approximately 20 km north to Northumberland Road 9
  • Turn left (west) on Northumberland Road 9
  • Travel approximately 16 km (2 km west of Elizabethville) to just before the Region of Durham sign/Ganaraska Forest Centre sign is located on the south side
  • Turn right (north) onto Cold Springs Camp Road and proceed 4 km to the Forest Centre


Travelling South from points Northwest
(about 30 minutes from Lindsay)

  • Travel to Lindsay
  • Take Highway 35 south to Kirby on Highway 35/115
  • Turn east at Kirby onto Ganaraska Road 9
  • Proceed 10 km east to the first "S" bend in the road
  • Turn left (north) onto Cold Springs Camp Road/Forest Centre sign is located on south side of road
  • Proceed 4 km to the Forest Centre
